Newbie Excel User Needs Help!

upon creating my first spreadsheet, for inventory purposes..........is there
a way to carry totals from one spreadsheet forward to a new spreadsheet
using the same excel Spreadsheet template?

For example:

Inventory
Start total End Total Used
5 3 2
3 1 2

Total used: 4

Then on the next sheet I would like the end Totals to carry over to the
template spreadsheet
with the end Totals becoming the new sheets Start totals!

I hope this isnt too confusing, but I just want to be able to carry over
totals from one spreadsheet (using a template) to another!

Thanks for your help SO SO SO Much!

regards

Martam Allen

Well, for a noob I'd say you should do it this way:

Click on the cell where you want the total to carry over to. Press =.
Just an equal sign. Then go to the sheet and cell you want the total t
carry over from and click on it then hit enter.

If you do exactly that you'll be on your way.

If you're copying from Sheet1 Cell A11 to Sheet2 Cell C22 then th
result in Sheet2 Cell C22 will look like this:

=Sheet1!A11

Is that clear? - Piku
