Protecting Data Validation from being overwritten
I have a workbook containing multiple sheets that rely heavily on
dropdown lists, generated by using named ranges in Excel's Data Validation as the list source. However, as most of you know, if a user performs a copy and paste operation into a cell with Data validation, the data validation is overwritten. I have code for Data Validation from John Walkenbach fine book "Excel 2002 Power Programming with VBA", but it does not provide protection for the list source and so doesn't meet my needs. Does anyone have any ideas. --- Message posted from http://www.ExcelForum.com/ |
