Excel VBA Code

Please help!

I have an Excel 2000 template that suddenly displays this
message when opening:

The macros in this file do not match the digital
signature. Only a macro with a virus would cause this.
Please scan for viruses.

As a company, we run TrendMicro OfficeScan, which doesn't
appear to detect macro viruses.

Any ideas how I can "save" this file? I do have a backup
but it's two days old. Thanks!

If you can still open the file, try going to the VBE and removing the
digital signature (Tools menu).

Thanks Jan,

I was able to remove the digital signature, but how do I
know if this template really contains a virus?

When I put the signature back, it appears to be ok.

Viruses in Excel VBA are relatively rare. Any up to date scanner should
catch them if present. So I would try to scan this particular file. If
none found I suspect you should be safe.
