I had saved a doc in excel and password protected it. I have forgotten the
password now and do not know how to open it. Any suggestions??

Go to Download.com and search for a password breaker there. Should be
easy to find one with a free trial period, if it's not free
alltogether. - Pikus

If you email it me i can remove any worksheet or workbook protection.

any other type of passwords i can't.

You can download a simple tool to find the password to open a
protected MS Excel file.

Here is one of many that are readily found by searching Google for
password recovery tools:
