Recognizating worksheet name

Hi John,

Try confirming every character in the sheet name. I
suspect you are not noticing a leading or trailing space
character.

Best Regards,
Walt

I have a Workbook that has a unique problem. When I

attempt to access it from VB code in a module with the
name of the sheet or "Sheet1", I get a <subscript out of
range error. I can access it when I use the number
(provided it is the first sheet). All the other
worksheets in the workbook can be accessed by name. The
name of this worksheet has been the same for at least 5
years (but no code was being used in the Workbook during
that time).

The code is:

With Worksheets("Sheet1") ' return <subscript out of

range error
With ThisWorkbook.Worksheets("Sheet1") ' also returns the

error

(Where "Sheet1" is both the name of the sheet and Sheet

1.)

With Worksheets(1) ' works

Thanks
.

That did it - there was a space at the tailend

Thought I had checked for that type of problem - I had even copied the tab name from the properties' screen into the clipboard

Thanks for the backup.
