I want to highlight a cell as an answer to an argument rather than

I'm not entirely sure what you question is, but if you are talking about Conditional Formatting, you can change "Cell Value Is" to "Formula Is" and enter a formula. not sure I really understand your question. However, if you are saying you want to change the format of one or more cells depending on the value of another cell, have a look at Formatting | Conditional Formatting...
