i've exported a check register from business works software to excel. when i open the excel spreadsheet ....if a check was for more than one invoice.... it lists that check multiple times. how do i quickly get all the duplicate check #'s off the list? thanks for your help! pam

One way, Pam, is to use DataFilterAdvanced Filter. For list range, type
in the entire range you want to show (as in $A$1:$F$25), or highlight it all
using your mouse. For criteria range, type in the range of your check
numbers, or highlight the range with your mouse. Make sure you have the
same number of rows (in my example here, if the list range ends at F25, the
criteria range needs to end at A25), and be sure to include the headers.
Check the boxes for Unique Records Only, and Copy to Another Location. In
Copy To:, type or select the top left cell of the empty space you want to
paste your data into (it must be on the active sheet).
