Run Excel Report on Server w/out human interaction
I have a report that I saved on a server and I have coded it to open at a
specific time as well as run through a couple of macros to update itself. Problem is......when it goes to open it opens on my local machine and asks me to "Enable macros". What will happen on Sunday night at midnight(the time I want to set it to run) when I am sleeping and it is looking to open on my locl machine??? Basically, how can I let it run by itself on the server at night without me bing there to watch it? |

Hi,
You have to change the security settings in Excel. Toolsmacrossecurity. They either have to be set at low or you can enable a digital signature and use a higher setting. If you don't have a digital signature and you have the proper rights on the server, you can use the self cert program that comes with Office. See the selfcert.exe in your program files\microsoft office\office folder. -- John johnf 202 at hotmail dot com "ibeetb" wrote in message ... | I have a report that I saved on a server and I have coded it to open at a | specific time as well as run through a couple of macros to update itself. | Problem is......when it goes to open it opens on my local machine and asks | me to "Enable macros".
