Securing Macros/VBA Code
How do I "lock" Excel macros/vba code? I have a protected
workbook template in Excel 2000 but the use can still edit my macros and vba code. Can this be locked? Thanks Cindy |
Securing Macros/VBA Code
Cindy,
In the VBA Editor, go to the Tools menu, choose VBA Project Properties, then the Protection tab. There, check the "Lock Project For Viewing" checkbox and enter a password. Note that the password isn't terribly secure. There are a variety of methods that can break passwords. -- Cordially, Chip Pearson Microsoft MVP - Excel Pearson Software Consulting, LLC www.cpearson.com "Cindy" wrote in message ...
