Looking for some help.... How can I do this in Excel?
I am trying to create a "Table Assignment" worksheet. What I get from my
charity is how many people are in a party, and in some cases, who they want to sit with. The tables seat 10 each. How could I do this? Any suggestions, ideas etc? Or...Does anybody know of anything like this already created? TIA |

I think the process would be iterative, in which case Solver would assist.
You would likely be trying to minimise the number of unhappy people - unhappy being people who cannot sit by the people they want.
