serializing excel objects
 

Can anyone suggest a way of (de)-serializing such excel objects as
menubars and pivottables in xl 2002? - i have written a small routine
to create menubars based on arbitrary criteria in an excel range but
am wondering if there is a more natural (maybe xml based) approach
available.
