data between sheets
I have a three worksheets in this problem However I only need to get
work with two of them. Here is what I want to do. Sheet1 ColA ColB ColC Sheet2 ColA ColB ColC I want to match the data on Sheet2 ColA with the data on Sheet1 ColA However the information to match could show up multiple times on Sheet2 ColA so it could be in row 1, 2, 3 but only in row 1 on Sheet1 ColA So if Sheet1 ColA matches Sheet2 ColA (anyrow) I want to add the data in Sheet2 ColB (whatever row matches) to Sheet1 Col C Row1 Does that make sense? |

Not sure if I got the right picture in my head, but I'll give it a shot. I am assuming when you say "add the data" you are working with numeric data. You should be able to do this with a fairly simple function: SUMIF() Try this: In Sheet1, cell C1 use the formula: =SUMIF(Sheet2!A:A,A1,Sheet2!B:B) And copy it into the entire column C - if I understand your problem I think this should work |
