Problem with VBA help
My Excel VBA Help (from Office 2000) just started malfunctioning. The
links such as "Example" and "See Also" are no longer available. They show up only as a greyed out box with a dot in the center. I have removed and reinstalled Office-2000 and all of the updates from Microsoft's Office Update web site. The problem remains. Does anyone know what could be causing this and how to fix it? Thanks. |
Problem with VBA help
I had the same problem for months and did all you did, to no avial... what
solved the problem was a reinstallation of the latest Internet Explorer service pack! Actually IE is what is used to display help throughout Windows and Office. Give it a shot. Thanks for your help.
How does one re-install the service pack? The Windows update site does seem not want to allow me to download it since it thinks I do not need it. Oh, OK - I thought SR-1 was one of those you can't uninstall. I finally
fixed the problem in a slightly different way. I keep Windows on a separate disk from applications, data, etc. Thus, I can restore that drive from a saved image and loose very little (primarily cookies, program installations, etc. since the last backup.) I restored from my most recent backup. Problem fixed. Thanks. On Fri, 23 Jan 2004 08:57:30 +0200, "Nikos Yannacopoulos" wrote: Uninstall it first! wrote in message .. . Thanks for your help.
