How does one add text or icon to bottom of Excel Window
 

Look at the attached file for a screen shot of Excel as reference. How
does one add text or an ocon to the area of the window at the botton
where the Word "Ready" and Num can be seen? What is this area referred
to?

You can only add text.

Application.StatusBar = "Place your text here."
Application.StatusBar = False 'To Reset
