Problem with Data Validation not working
I have a range validated using a list, yet when a value is entered that is
not from the list no warning appears how can this be? This workbook is also heavily ladden with vb that is triggered by events. The settings appear correct I have double checked. If the named range exists and the validation settings are correct is there some other way that validation can be accidently turned off or is this workbook somehow corrupt? Has anyone else experienced this problem? Excel 2002 & WinXpPro -- Regards, Rocky McKinley |

You say no warning appears. Is the data accepted, however?

The error alert may be turned off:
Select the cells that have data validation. Choose DataValidation On the Error Alert tab, add a check mark to 'Show error alert after invalid data is entered Click OK Rocky McKinley wrote: I have a range validated using a list, yet when a value is entered that is not from the list no warning appears how can this be? Yes the data is accepted and yes error alert is turned on, it doesn't seem
to be anything simple. -- Regards, Rocky McKinley "Debra Dalgleish" wrote in message ... The error alert may be turned off: Select the cells that have data validation.
