Hi

Does anybody know where can I find this? I googled a bit and I haven't found
anything. Recently I have found across information that Microsoft revealed
excel file format specification and I wonder if it is true. Thanks in
advance for any help

some of the Excel specific format information is in the Microsoft Excel 97
Software Development Kit from MS Press.

Thanks Tom. I am sure that some of your links will be helpful, especially
the one containing such statement:

The Microsoft Office binary file format documentation was removed from the

MSDN in 1999.
If you would like to receive this documentation, you can send e-mail to

Actually, if you look at the first link:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en...html/SFACB.asp

you will see that most of it is back in MSDN.
