Macro to only change selection
I have an Excel 2k spreadsheet with product numbers &
product descriptions & product pricing. Periodically I need to change prices of 300 products by a certain percentage all at once. What would be the best way to do this? What I would like to do is have something promtp me for a portion of the product number or product description and then prompt me for the percentage the product needs to be marked up or decreased by then is changes all the prices for me. Will Excel even do this? Thanks for any help you can lend this struggling sales person. |

You'll have to forgive my Excel ignorance. When I follow
your instructions it changes my price to what the percentage mark up would be instead of what the new price would be. Also how would I do this if I wanted to decrease a price? -----Original Message----- put your percentage ie: 1.0456 in a cellcopy that cellselect the range to changeeditpastespecialmultiply. record a macro to do this and then clean it up. -- Don Guillett SalesAid Software "Del" wrote in message ... the current price is 1 and I want to increase it by 4.56%, I would multiply
it by 1.0456 as Don showed. That should give you the new price. To get the markup you would multiply it by .0456. -- Regards, Tom Ogilvy wrote in message ...
