reducing file size when done
I have now completed the workbook and making the modules
under 64k. The file is about 4 megs (w/o data) in size and when emailing, it could be a hindrance. In Access you can compact and repair. In Excel there is nothing like that. Does anyone have any "tricks" or thoughts on how to make a file smaller? Thank in advance to anyone responding. *** John |

Depending on what is involved in your workbook, you could copy eac sheet into a new workbook and make an exact copy of the original. Tha has worked for me in the past You could try www.asap-utilities.com and use the various utilites t clear out unwanted bits and pieces The final way i know of is to ZIP the file down, i've just done on from 8Mb to under 1Mb for the purpose of emailin ----------------------------------------------- ~~ Message posted from http://www.ExcelTip.com ~~View and post usenet messages directly from http://www.ExcelForum.com |
