Disabling looking for link file
I have an excel file "File1" which links to another excel file "File2". When I activate "File1" the other file is not always available and s it asks if I want to find it and gives me the file open dialog box. do not want this to happen. I want to run a macro BEFORE it tries t link to the other file. I have a procedure called Auto_Open but thi seems to run after the check where I want it before. Help please ----------------------------------------------- ~~ Message posted from http://www.ExcelTip.com ~~View and post usenet messages directly from http://www.ExcelForum.com |
Disabling looking for link file
Hi,
I don't think that is possible. If you run Excel XP (or later) you can disable the question in Edit Links - Startup Prompt and chooes "don't display the alert and don't update automatic links. -----Original Message----- I have an excel file "File1" which links to another excel file "File2".
