Lost Personal.xls Workbook for Macros

When creating macros, I can't save them to my
personal.xls workbook anymore. Excel tells me the
personal macro workbook must stay open in the startup
folder for recording. I know about that the workbook is
usally hidden, but now it's gone and I can't unhide it.
Any ideas? Thanks.

can you find it? In the windows start menu, search for file.

If it is in fact deleted, you can create a new one by recording a macro and
telling it to store it in the personal.xls.

Don't forget to check the recycle bin. I don't think search for files
checks there.
