I am trying to count the number of cells in a row that are highlighted with yellow. ------------------------------------------------ ~~ Message posted from http://www.ExcelTip.com/ ~~ View and post usenet messages directly from http://www.ExcelForum.com/ |
Counting Formated Cells
You have to use a VBA function to do this. See the CountByColor procedure at

I found the CountByColor tip, but don't know how to enter it into VBA.
Can someone have a look at the included worksheet where I've highlighted various cells in Row 4, with an attempt to count the highlighted cells and total them in Cell S4? If you could put the VBA in the sheet for me as an example for me to work off, I'd greatly appreciate it.
