Workbook Open Event
Did you place the code in ThisWorkbook?
Private Sub Workbook_Open() MsgBox "Hi Paul" End Sub The above works on my machine. I get a nice warm greeting everytime I open that workbook Paul D wrote in message om... I need to display a custom menu when a particular workbook is open. I am using VBA code that is right out of a book on Excel and VBA. The code is as follows: Private Sub Workbook_Open() Call AddMenu 'This runs the AddMenu macro. End Sub It is not working and I have spent way too much time on it. I think what needs to happen is to find a way to identify the specific workbook object so the Workbook_Open sub will know to run but I am not figuring out how to write this code. Thanks in advance for the help. This is a great group and I hope to get good enough at macros to start contributing myself. Ken |
