Calendar object in Excel problem - mscal.ocx
I have a spreadsheet with an imbedded mscal object =EMBED
("MSCAL.Calendar.7",""). It uses mscal.ocx vrs 9.0.0.3620. I'm using an installer to install the application, and have included mscal.ocx,Mscal.cnt, Mscal.dep, mscal.GID, Mscal.hlp and registered the mscal.ocx, in the same directory as the application. It works fine on my machine, Office 2000, but installed on a machine with Office xp (upgraded from 2000 so it has mscal both vrs 9 & 10, but the Reference is pointing to the mscal.ocx I installed) it comes up with the error - method value of object ICalendar failed 2147417848. MS Knowledge base article 311219 talks about late bindings and I have read that this problem is resolved by office xp service pack 2. However, I would like to find a work around as I can't expect users to upgrade their version. Thank you for helping. .. |
