Creating manual outlines

I've looked through help files and newsgroups and can not
seem to understand how I would create a set of manual
outlines. My data does not have subtotals so AutoOutline
is not appropriate. I would have thought the Group method
applies, but I'm not working with Pivot data either.

If someone has already tackled this problem, please post
some hints. Thanks, Randy.

Hi,

First select the columns or rows, you wish to group, then go to:

Data Group and outline Group.

Sorry I wasn't more clear. I'm looking for a VB programming solution to
creating these outlines. I am familiar with the menu approach.
