macro not working on 1 PC, ok on others

A long shot, but if you have any Add-Ins installed uninstall them and try
again.

Has anybody got any clues as to what this user should be
looking for? I can't get to see the code to check it - is
there anything obvious that I can get her to check? I've
told her to remove the extra code that she typed.

The macro is written in file A.

1) It opens file B and opens file C.

2) It deletes some data in file B and replaces it with
some data from file C.

3) It closes file C.

4) It then filters and formats the data that has been
copied into B and generates a variety of pivot tables and
one pie chart.

5) It then opens approx 10 more files and copies data from
them into B. It closes each of the files once it has
finished copying from it.

The error occurs at point 2 when it is trying to copy the
data from C to B. I think the error occurs when it is
trying to change focus from file C to B just after step
1. There is no Excel error message. The error message
that comes up is a custom error message that was written
into the macro: "There has been an error in copying and
pasting the data".

There is definitely nothing wrong with the macro itself
because I have been using it for several months and
changed nothing in it. Also I have tested it on two other
machines here and it works great. It just doesn't work on
my machine . It worked one day and then didn't work the
next day. I have not installed any programs onto my
machine or changed the settings in any way. The only
thing I did that was different is open Visual Basic and
write a program in there that opens Notepad.
