application.screenupdating problems and IE browser window
Hi,
We have an intranet site on which we post reports. I have noticed a problem with reports that contain vba macros, when the users PC settings are set so that the report opens in the Browser window, rather than the Excel Application window. Where the macro is sandwiched between an application.screenupdating=false and an application.screenupdating=true statement, it appears that the macro is triggered, but that the application.screenupdating=true statement does not run, and so to the user, it appears as though the macro has not run. However, if I put an additional application.screenupdating=true statement, then it works fine. For example... This won't work.... application.screenupdating=false range("a1")="hello" application.screenupdating=true This will work... application.screenupdating=false range("a1")="hello" application.screenupdating=true application.screenupdating=true Has anyone come across this before, and can you tell me why this is happening? (Note, if you open the spreadsheet in Excel directly, rather than via the Intranet, then both versions of the code work fine) Belinda |
