OWC10, XMLSS and Excel97?
I am creating XMLSS documents using OWC10, which are supported by Excel2000
and XP, but am wondering if Excel97 can open and interpret the document the same way that the later versions of Excel can. If no, can someone give me an example of the error message that the end user would see? If yes, what happens when the user edits the document and hits save? Is the document still in the XMLSS format or will it be converted to an Excel 97 workbook. Thanks. Ben |
OWC10, XMLSS and Excel97?
Hi Ben,
I am creating XMLSS documents using OWC10, which are supported by Excel2000 and XP, but am wondering if Excel97 can open and interpret the document the same way that the later versions of Excel can. If no, can someone give me an example of the error message that the end user would see? No - Excel 97 thinks it's just a text file to open, so starts the Text Import Wizard, which proceeds to show the raw xml in the worksheet.
