Networking problems...

Hi,

I build a calculating programme in Excel97. It opens various files through
the network (Novell) on a Win2K or WinNT machine. If the network is down,
then i cannot save my work, not even local on C: !!!!

Do you know what happend, do you have an answer?
Is the problem to be found at Excel or at Novell?
is there a patch?

Please help me...

hello rob,

if you have open connections to servers when they go down then
your Excel macro may not allow execution to continue. i would
include a test before trying to access a remote drive .. that way,
if the server is unavailable your macro could continue on to next
command.
