XLStart folder content deleted when upgrading to XP

I yesterday upgraded from XL97 to XP. Unfortunately the content in the
XLStart folder was deleted i.e. all VBA codes stored in personal.xls
and other workbooks lost ! I've tried to search my C-drive with no
succes.
Any help most appreciated

For your next upgrade, install into a new directory! Also should backup
important files before upgrading!
If you used the same, then your xlstart is hosed.
Sorry for the bad news.

probably useless but download an undelete /file recover program

active@undelete is one option. with the (free) demo you can't undelete
it but you CAN browse and see if it's still somewhere on your disk
in a deleted directory.

if you defragment regularly you just might have a chance.
a slim chance but worth the try.
