Macro security settings
Thanks every-one, great ideas, I made it so the HELP sheet
displays first if the macros do not run. The first item in the HELP menu explains how to set the security settings to Medium. Then reopen the template. So can any-one tell me why.... when a user signs on to a PC they have not used before the settings default to HIGH? Even if the previous user had the settings on low/medium? Thanks every-one and if anyone wants a kickass expense statment I think I just about have this one completed. -----Original Message----- Hi all, I'm using the Office 2000 package. Does anyone know of code that will prompt the user to change their macro security settings to medium or low?? I have a spreadsheet for company use and if the user logs in to a PC other then their own the security settings on Excel macros automatically default to "high" when this happens then of course my "Workbook-Activate" code will not run and it won't even prompt the user?? Any ideas? I managed to get most of the PC's changed over but like I say, if they log onto a PC they have not used before then their settings for Excel are defaulted back to "high". Thanks Kelly . |
Macro security settings
Kelly,
The Default setting for Each user is High for Excel versions higher than Excel 97. So each user has to reset it, even if on the same computer. As a foot note - this holds true for all Option settings. And for the toolbar configuration. steve "Kelly" wrote in message ...
