Hi

Imposible question. Consider how much the customer is saving (time saved + increased
productivity) the first year, and how much mony that represents in salaries. I'd say
software should sell for between 1/4 and 1/2 of that amount, if you can ensure that it
works well always and that you can provide support if not. For "as is and no support" you
should probably be in the $15 - $50 -range for each user.

Sjoerd,

As far as charging for your application goes, you must
first consider a few things:

1) Are you developing this while working for a company?
I've found out the hard way that a company can "eminent-
domain" your work, unless you have a prior working
development agreeement with them.

2) Are there other applications out there that are
commercially available, and if so, what do they charge?
(research the competition).

3) Excel isn't a truly secure environment, so
your "support" needs/estimations may have to be increased
based upon the level of expertise that your users have
with accessing your code and potentially "fubar'ing" your
work.
