Help - PivotTable Drop-down not Sorting
Have you got the field sorted? I have Excel 2002 but I suspect its the same
in Excel 2000. Right-click on the field title in the pivot table and select Field Settings Advanced Ascending "FHowl" wrote in message om... Hi All. I have an excel grid of data that I report using a Pivottable. It has apprx 4500 records. I do this report every month...so I've been using the previous month as a model...then use the pivot-wizard to point to the new month's data and refresh the data. This works except that one of the fields on the pivottable is a Client Name field. The problem is that when you click the drop-down on that field it is not completely in alphabetical order. It goes A to Z for most of the names but then after some Z names...it shows other names in Random order? I've tried sorting before pivot-ing to no effect. If I start from scratch with a new pivot...the data is sorted. But That will cost me time every month rebuilding it. Any idea how I can refresh so that the drop-down data is re-sorted...maybe with VBA? I use Excel 2000. Any help would be appreciated - thanks. |
