How do I use formulas and calculations in Excel that show minutes
Can anyone help me with what I am sure is a very simple solution! I need to
produce a timesheet that shows time in hours and minutes but can be added to or subtracted - with the results still showing minutes. Therefore, I don't want to put in decimals .... how do I do this please? Thank you! Carol |

Enter your times using colons instead of decimals.
e.g. in cell A1 type 07:30 and in cell A2 type 05:30 if you then enter the formula in A3 of =A1-A2 you should get your answer in hours and minutes. It gets a bit more complicated if your time sheet crosses midnight and you finish time is less than your start time because Excel can't handle negative times.
