selecting cells
one of my colleagues is having a problem. everytime he opens excel and uses
the mouse to select a cell it then locks and starts to select the cells where ever he moves the cursor. we can't find a way of stopping this or turning it off. is it an error in the program, so will need re-installing or is it simple? |

I've had this, and pressing both mouse buttons at the same time has worked for me. You may have hit the F8 key and are in Extended mode. Do you see EXT on status bar? If so, hit F8 again. Also, if you have a wheelie mouse, tap the wheel a few times.
