carry over data to other sheet - help needed
 

Dear excel specialists!

Please help me with problem I have. I would like to carry over data
from one sheet to another but of course under special conditions.

Example: I have a table with many information about articles. On other
sheet I have few positions for which I need only few information from
the first sheet.
It's little difficult to explain, so I've added a excel table showing
the problem and solution I used till now.

In inquiry,

Put in B2:
=INDEX(database!B:B,MATCH(A2,database!A:A,0))
Copy down

Thank you so much for your reply. I will use this formula in daily
business and remember Max from Singapore :) Thanks again.

I have also visited savefile.com site and downloaded your examples. I
think I will learn a lot from there. So happy!:)
