Clipboard
Hello:
A user of Excel says that the Office Clipboard does not hold any more than 5 items at a time. Then, in order to copy and paste after five items, he has to save his work, close out of Excel, and come back in. I told him out to go to Edit...Office Clipboard and Clear All. But, why would the Clipboard only allow 5 items at a time? I thought that the default was 24. Thanks! childofthe1980s |

Depends on version!
I'm on an XL2K machine now with a capacity of 12. I believe that XL02 has 24. Don't recall what the older versions might gave. BUT ... unless I'm misunderstanding what you're saying, any 'new' copies should displace *older* copies in the stack, so it *isn't* necessary to close and re-open XL to refresh the clipboard. -- Regards, RD --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please keep all correspondence within the NewsGroup, so all may benefit ! --------------------------------------------------------------------------- "childothe1980s" wrote in message ...
