Newbee made a big mistake

I had a spreadsheet that took about seven hours to put together. I
wanted to print out a modified version, so I made edits and went to
print and mistakenly hit SAVE! Is there any way to retrieve the
original. I had the restore function in WINXP disable to save space.
Not very smart I guess. Any help really, really appreciated.

The original, if saved with the same name, has been overwritten.

BTW....System Restore does not concern itself with data files like Excel
workbooks so restoring would not bring anything back.

For the future, I would suggest that you get into the habit of using the
"Save as" option to "always save a backup copy".
