Size of comment box in xml stored spreadsheet becoming small
Hi All,
I am using excel from office XP....I have built and application that reads an xml version of a spreadsheet. I wanted to put help into the fields for the users of the spreadsheet in the form of comments. So a use could float their mouse over a field and the comment would pop up and tell them what the field is about and the valid values for it. However, when the spreadsheet is saved as xml the size of the comment box is quite small. And even if I make it larger once I save the workbook again and then reopen it the comment box will be small again. Is there any way to force excel to keep the comment box at the same size it was the last time the workbook was opened when saving the workbook as XML? This is exactly the behaviour excel has when the workbook is saved as an .xls. Please don't advise me to save it as an xls as the application is written to the XML model and not the xls DOM. I hope someone has seen this before..... Thanks in Advance. Peter Nolan |
