csv file
 

Gmail asks me to save an Excel file in the csv format. In Excel 2oo3 I do not
get the oftion type of file: ".csv"
Any suggestions?

I use Excel 2003 (Italian localized version) and it's present the option to
save as CSV.

Try this way: First of all open the file you want to save in .csv format,
then select menu File, Save As, from the drop down listbox scroll down until
you see "CSV (delimited by list separator) (*.csv)" and choose thise option.
If you want, change the name of the file, click Save.

(I'm not sure of names of menus, options and commands, because
translating from the Italian version of Excel...)
