Standby in Excel

The problem is the top (lid) to your laptop. You have it too close to being closed. Go to Control Panel, and then open Power Options. Click on the Advanced tab at the top. Under Power Buttons, the first option is "When I close the lid of my portable computer". If you have the option "Stand by" selected, and you put the lid of your laptop too far down (too close to being closed all the way), it tries to go into Standby mode. Just raise the lid of your laptop a little bit and you will be fine. OR - change the setting in Power Options to "Do nothing".
