How can I get a .xla function addin on a public network drive to be loaded from the public network drive instead of Excel looking in the addins folder for it? -- mpeplow ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mpeplow's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=34812 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=556237 |

Just browse to the network drive when you install it in Excel.

Yea. Thats what I though too. But when you close excel and reopen it, Excel likes to put a link to the addin in the formula bar followed by the formula and will not load the addin. But I have figure it out. You specify a secondary startup folder with tools then option and the general tab. Second textbox from the bottom. BAM! There it is.
