I enter example May 9, 1992 in the column and it appears as such, however, in
the fx line it appears as 5/9/1992. I want to use this inforamtion in a mail merge but it is pulled into the file as m/d/yy? How can I correct this? I am using Office XP excel 2002. I tried to format the cells to have the data appear as May 9, 1992. It appears that way in the column but not in the fx field. (the place where you can enter formulas.) |

I change the format in that particular column to text and that corrected the
problem. Thank you " wrote: I enter example May 9, 1992 in the column and it appears as such, however, in the fx line it appears as 5/9/1992.
