sorting and ranking
I am working on a spreadsheet that has one worksheet with the weighted
average scores of the potential candidates for a position. The ratings are given by three different managers. On a separate worksheet, I would like to show a comparison of the top 10 scores given by the three managers. First, I did an Autofilter on the first worksheet, but then I would literally have to sort for each manager, then copy and paste to the second worksheet. Second, I decided to add two columns in the second worksheet for each of the mangers where I can then link back to the scores from the first worksheet. This will then allow me to do a RANK to identify the candidates who came in first, second, ...through tenth. Then I got stuck as to not knowing how to populate the cells for the three managers with the name of the 10 candidates and their corresponding scores. Your assistance is definitely appreciated. |

Have you looked at Pivot tables? These are really good for summarising data and displaying in report format. http://office.microsoft.com/training...RC010136191033 Matt -- Mallycat ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mallycat's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=35514 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=555173 |
