list problem
Hi all,
The cell contains a long drop down list To save scrolling to the correct entry I start typing it in the cell and the matching results come back. Say I'm searching in a VERY long list and I want to find names beginning with M - is there a way to type M into the cell rather than scrolling through the whole list? I dont want to filter according to the value in the cell as I have to enter data in the cell below using the list. :) |
list problem
With the list alphabetized, you can put an A at the beginning of the list of
A's, a B at the top of the list of B's... etc all the way down through your list to Z. Now, enter the letter of choice and DON'T hit enter. Just click on the down arrow and it will take you to the letter, which is the beginning of that letters list. You can hit enter after typing your letter in the cell, but then you have to re-select the cell to activate the drop down. HTH Regards, Howard "sedonovan" wrote in message ...
