Hi Yahıa,

On your pivot table, right click on a date (mayebe here is a month's
name...) click on Group an Show Detail and then you will have your option:
Show/Hide details, Group/Ungroup.

(I'm not sure of names of menues, option and commands, because
translating from the Italian version of Excel...)

Hope I helped you.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Default how to change date formating-grouped by month in pivot table

Hi Franz Verga,
Thanks for your response. But my problem is not solved. Let me explain it:
when i have data of same months of different years in a pivot table (eg:
jan.05 and jan.06) and when i group the date column/field by "Month" then the
data of both the years are summed up under "January". Now how do i show it in
different groups? Hope you got my point...

Thanks in advance,
Yahýa.

Now I think it can depends on *how* did you input the dates... Are they real
dates or instead are text strings? If this is the case you can't group by
month: you have to change to real dates and then grouping by month will be
ok...
