How can I get my "print preview" to display in color instead of b&

I have Excel 2003 here at work and can't find out how to change the print
preview display to show color instead of only black and white. Please advise
because it's useless only seeing b&w when I need to see how colors look
together, etc.

Thank you in advance

Drew

Does the actual printout turn up in color?

If not, perhaps check FilePage setupSheet and uncheck black and white and
draft quality boxes.

How can I get my "print preview" to display in color instead o

Gord,

Everything prints out in color. For some reason, it just doesn't show color
when I "print preview" and it's annoying more than anything else. I would
like to know how it will look before actually printing it. If you have any
other ideas, please let me know. I went through all the menus, options, and
help but couldn't find anything. That's why I'm here. Otherwise, I'm pretty
Excel knowledgeable but I've never seen this before. It's a new job so it was
just like that when I got the computer.

Thanks,
Drew

Hi Drew,

This may have nothing to do with it, but if you have a non colour printer
selected, it will show black & white. You should go to Print and select the
colour printer and in the print dialogue box select print preview and see if
that makes any difference.

Then how did you print in color if you had a B&W printer selected?

The B&W was my "default" printer, so when I would print, I would always
switch over to the color one. The key was to change the default printer to
color. I always print preview before I get to the print option box, therefore
I don't print, change the printer, and then print preview. That may have
shown in color but most people don't get to print preview through the print
command. They do the print preview and then if they like it they go to print.

Thanks
