msquery in Excel 2007
Hi,
The query button is grey, I cannot access msquery 2007. Is it too early or should I use a custom process to get there? I am very curious to see the difference between 2003 and 2007 msquery When upgrading to 2003 i was disapointed by the fact that msquery did not get a lifting back then. I hope this time around it is the case. Things that bothers me in 2003 are things like T-SQL not graphically supported, meaning you cannot use the GUI to build queries with multiple left (outer) joins. You have to use NotePad, then paste the code to get it to work. I hope this type of limitation has been lifted. I dream of a msquery more like the VS Database project interface. Thanks, Philippe |

Never mind, I found it under Data From other sources, From Microsoft query.
I have my answer, the version number has changed but not msquery, still the exact same old thing like it was back in 1995 except the new Native SQL provider. I guess it is not an important feature for Microsoft. Too bad for me. I thought a simple cut-and paste of the VS code would have done a nice cheap GUI upgrade. May be in 2010?
