Workbook slow opening & saving

Hi there,

I have an Excel 2002 workbook that contained;

10,000 rows of raw data
A pivot table spread over 7 worksheets (ie utiliising the pages option)
Several users with read only access across the network
4 small macros contained within a module
Some Vlookup functionality

Just recently this spreadsheet started to take 2-3 mins to open & to save,
so in order to try & remedy this I took out a lot of historical data so that
now I only have 3,000 rows of data. However the problem still persists.

The file is abot 7mb big and I have gone in to all worksheets & deleted
blank rows & columns but to no avail.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks

Phil

Clear out your Temporary Internet Files for starters.

Check out the Excel Page on Charles Williams' site for calculation secrets and
optimizing.
