Personal.xls ia your personal macro workbook.
You must have recorded a macro and selected personal macro workbook as the file to store it in. You can delete this file from your XLSTART folder usually located at C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART OR....keep it and let it open. When it is open, go to WindowHide and select Personal.xls. Save changes to Personal.xls when you close Excel. Personal.xls will now open "hidden" and any macros in it will be available for all workbooks, which it was designed for. Do NOT delete it unless you are sure it contains no code. It should be a
hidden workbook and opens everytime Excel does, you just shouldn't see it Get personal.xls as the active workbook and select windowhide, now close Excel and answer yes if it says you have made changes to personal.xls and all will be well -- HTH Nick Hodge Microsoft MVP - Excel Southampton, England www.nickhodge.co.uk HIS "wfd37" wrote in message ...
