Any way to create an Excel file from data in Word?
For instance, I have some Word documents with long lists of data formatted as: ---------------------------------------------------- <181 UI - 8468089 TI - Failures in the osseointegration of endosseous implants. <182 UI - 8429059 TI - Bone ingrowth: an application of the boundary element method to bone remodeling at the implant interface. ----------------------------------------------------------------- I'd love to be able to convert this to an Excel database with the UI number in one cell and the Title in another. Possible? TIA. -- putty ------------------------------------------------------------------------ putty's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=35430 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=553352 |

In Word try:
Table ==Convert == "Text to Table". If you successfully generate a table, you can copy and paste into Excel. OR You could copy the data into Excel as-is and then transpose it from rows to columns. You will probably need a few lines of VBA code to do the latter.
